Organising a fundraising event is a HUGE undertaking and the list of tasks can seem endless. You might need to arrange :
- A venue (VERY important to get this right!)
- Event sponsors and/or donors
- Permits and licenses from local authorities
- Entertainment (another very important task)
- Event catering
- Sound, light and audio/visual equipment
- and let's not forget the fundraising activities!
This list barely scratches the surface of a typical event. There are many, MANY more considerations. Some are optional, others are essential. It takes a lot of effort, knowledge, resources and planning to pull an event together and make it a success.
